Day 1: Arrive Perth, City Tour, Kings Park
On arrival in Perth, you will be transferred to your centrally located hotel. Then you have the chance to tour Perth's shopping and business districts. Take in panoramic views of the city from beautiful Kings Park. Then, it’s time to enjoy our Welcome Dinner.

Day 2: Freedom of Choice Touring
Take a tram tour of the harbourside town of Fremantle, made famous by the America’s Cup, then cruise back to Perth. Alternatively, visit beautiful Rottnest Island to discover unspoilt landscapes or tour the city of Perth on an informative City Explorer Tram Tour.

Day 4: Shark Bay World Heritage Area, Dugong Cruise, Monkey Mia
Cruise the deep waters of beautiful World Heritage-listed Shark Bay, searching for the rare dugong, believed to have inspired the sailors’ myth of the mermaid.

Day 5: Monkey Mia Dolphins, Shell Beach, Stromatolites
Interact with wild dolphins (subject to appearance) alongside the pure white sands of Monkey Mia. Visit Shell Beach, one of only two beaches worldwide consisting of billions of tiny shells. View the world’s oldest living organisms, the stromatolites, at Hamelin Pool, dating back 3.5 billion years.

Day 6: Ningaloo Marine Park
Travel to Coral Bay, gateway to the stunning Ningaloo Reef Marine Park. Cruise the shallow waters of the coloured reefs and view the forests of soft coral and a myriad of fish that can be seen along this 260 kilometre-long reef. Journey to Vlaming Head, with its famous kerosene burning lighthouse, for stunning views of Western Australia’s coastline and the North-West Cape.

Day 7: The Pilbara, Dampier
White gums form a stark contrast against the red earth of the mineral-rich Pilbara region, with its impressive horizons and rocky landscapes. Explore the prosperous mining town of Dampier, originally designed and constructed by the Hamersley Iron Mining Company, and visit the Woodside Petroleum North West Shelf Visitors Centre.

Day 8: Millstream-Chichester National Park
This is an area of contrast and beauty and the traditional home of the Yinjibarndi Aboriginal people.Stroll among the native palms, ferns and lilies. The area’s flora and fauna make Millstream one of the most pleasant stopovers in the state’s north west. Explore Hamersley Gorge with its unusual striations in the rock wall.

Day 9: Karijini, Guided Mine Tour
Discover the striking landscapes of Karijini (Hamersley Range) National Park where ever-changing light, astonishing colours and reflections highlight the complex geological structures of this spectacular landscape. At Newman, tour the Mt Whaleback Iron Ore Mine, the largest open-cut mining operation in the world.

Day 11: Sandy Desert, Broome Tour
Travel to Broome, taking in the vast expanse of the Great Sandy Desert. Tour the historic and natural features of this former pearling capital, including Cable Beach – renowned for its spectacular sunsets and azure waters, and voted ‘Best Beach in Western Australia’ in 2004.

Day 14: Geikie Gorge Cruise, Halls Creek
In Geikie Gorge National Park, join the local ranger for a guided cruise of the gorge, with its striking colours of the limestone walls created by the gorge’s annual flooding. This is one of Australia’s most spectacular waterways and home to an abundance of wildlife including freshwater crocodiles, fruit bats, wallabies, dingoes and many species of bird.

Day 15: Argyle Diamond Mine, El Questro
Tour Argyle Diamond Mine, one of the world's largest diamond mines, and responsible for one-third of the world’s natural supply including the rare pink diamond. Travel deep into the heart of the Kimberley to El Questro Cattle Station, over a million acres of wilderness, including four river systems and numerous gorges, with much of it still unexplored.

Later, walk to Zebedee Springs to soak in the hot pools. Enjoy a free afternoon – perhaps walk to Emma Gorge for a swim below the towering droplet waterfall. Day 17: Wyndham, Kununurra, Ord River
Rise early this morning for a self-guided birdwatching walk. Farewell El Questro and travel to Wyndham, Australia’s most northerly port. Enjoy breathtaking views from Five Rivers Lookout then travel on to Kununurra.

This northern town was originally built to service the Ord River Irrigation Scheme. Enjoy a fascinating guided tour of the township.

Day 19: Ord River Wildlife Cruise, Lake Argyle, Katherine
Take what is reputed to be one of Australia's most scenic and fascinating cruises along the majestic Ord River, with its peculiar Boab trees and wide variety of birdlife. View Lake Argyle, the largest man-made lake in the Southern Hemisphere with a capacity 18 times that of Sydney Harbour. Drive the Victoria Highway and cross over the border into the Northern Territory, an area once part of Sir Sydney Kidman's cattle empire. Journey on to Katherine, a hub of the cattle industry and well-known goldmining district.

Day 20: Katherine Gorge Guided Breakfast Cruise, Farewell Dinner
Nitmiluk National Park is renowned for its 13 spectacular gorges formed by the Katherine River. This morning, take a guided breakfast cruise along Katherine Gorge with commentary on Aboriginal art and wildlife. Travel into the tropical city of Darwin for a delicious Farewell Dinner.
